THREADING THE CITY A CONCURRENCE OF FIBER ARTISTS MIAMI ASSOCIATION (FAMA) AND WORLD TEXTILE ART (WTA)
Nature and History is an exhibition inviting five artists to show outdoor installations. One of them is located in the “Hidden Garden,” and, for the first time in the History of Pinecrest Gardens, four guest artists are using the “Historic Bird Cages” as spaces for artistic experimentation. The proposals reflect on the relationships between nature and History. How can creative art interventions on historic grounds, including fiber components, engage with the History of the place and address social and environmental issues?
