About the project
Inspired by the Popol Vuh, the mural translates a narrative of creation into a sequence of organic forms, silhouettes, and fields of color. Trees, animal forms, and a sun move through the composition, bringing the story into contact with the surrounding landscape.
Across the long surface, figures emerge, overlap, and dissolve into one another. The work extends Caridad’s interest in how stories acquire a physical presence: here, language becomes a painted surface encountered through movement and distance.
